Kirsten’s Pre Wedding Fun

On the 17th of May 2014, my beautiful best friend, Kirsten married the man of her dreams, and I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid (yay!). Obviously being the in the bridal party I couldn’t shoot her entire  special day, but her photographer was not arriving until later in the day so I took the opportunity to capture the “pre wedding” fun!

What was the favourite part of the big day?

My favourite part was getting ready to walk down the aisle, it was the best feeling I have ever experienced!

What was the trickiest part to organise?

The hardest part of a wedding is deciding a theme! You have so many different ideas that run through your head and trying to get them all to match in with one another is so hard. Once your theme is decided is quiet easy to just make it all flow.

Do you have any advice for brides-to-be?

My advice for future brides is just take your time on things and really take in the feeling of organizing a wedding! So many things become so stressful and take away the excitement! Once your wedding day is finally here each time you are at a different stage of the day sit back and embrace everything and everyone around you because those times will stick with you forever. Too many people say my wedding day went so fast I can’t remember it.

Some words Kirsten had to say about having me as (part) photographer..

Having Tahnee as a pre wedding photographer aswell as a bridesmaid was the best idea. I was so worried when my photographer said she isn’t there for the getting ready bit and me getting in my dress, but Tahnee being Tahnee was there with camera in hand and I now have the most beautiful photos of all of this stuff to look back on and remember like it was yesterday.
